5 Timeless Beauty Secrets

I completely disagree with those who say that self-care is boring, difficult, and a waste of time. Our perception of any process depends solely on our attitude and the mindset we bring to it. It baffles me how small pleasures in life can become a burdensome routine. In my opinion, even a simple daily task like brushing your teeth can become a joy if you pick up the toothbrush with a smile. I wish everyone to start their day with a smile, approach any task with a smile, and fall asleep with a smile. You'll see, your life will undoubtedly improve.

Today, I want to share my essential "me time" activities, which I no longer consider routine because these practices are not part of mundane chores but delightful moments that fill me with optimism, strength, and positive energy.

Exercise

The most important aspect, of course, is exercise. I'm not the first nor the last to speak about the incredible benefits of physical activity, and I'm not referring to the physical aspect alone. Many people who haven't found their ideal type of exercise might skip this point, thinking that exercise is just fatigue, pain, and forcing yourself to "do something." But don't be so dismissive; if you feel these emotions when you hear the word "exercise," you simply haven't found what suits you best. Keep searching, trying new things, and moving until you find something you love. For example, I decided to try Pilates one day, and now I can't live without my 30-minute morning routine. Just half an hour out of 24 hours can improve your mood, and over time, you'll notice a toned body and a strong core. While my body is toned, my mind relaxes and focuses on the moment "here and now." I don't impose this type of exercise on anyone, but it's worth trying; you might fall in love with it like I did.

Reading

I always find my world in books, hiding behind their covers from the news and chaos around me. I believe that with a book, you can relax, learn something new, and ponder important things. I prefer physical books that you can hold and enjoy flipping through their pages and savoring their scent—they have their own energy. But I also don't shy away from downloading books to my phone or e-reader since it's not always possible to carry a physical book. If you find yourself falling asleep with a book, my advice is the same as with exercise—find your own preference. Maybe you're a fan of a particular author, genre, or topic.

Baths

I'm a bath fanatic—you can't imagine the effect of even 10 minutes of relaxation in warm water with your favorite product. I feel much better when I light my favorite candle, add something to the water, and immerse myself in the magical charm of the bath. I have a dedicated shelf for magical products that I love adding to my bath ritual.

For example, to fill the bathroom with a pleasant aroma and turn the water into a magical, mineral-rich elixir, I add Thalgo bath salt, enriched with chlorella algae extract, or La Biosthetique Le Sel De Bain, which has a relaxing effect and helps relieve stress. If you don't have a bath—no problem. A warm shower can also be enjoyable with St. Barth Amber Vanilla Shower Cream, which softens the skin and leaves a pleasant film even after rinsing. When my body is slightly steamed, and I feel the tension release, I move on to the second part of my ritual—exfoliation. I use the Kessa peeling glove and scrubs to keep my skin toned, soft, and smooth.

My top recommendations for scrubs include: La Biosthetique Spa Sea Salt Body Scrub, which exfoliates dead skin cells and stimulates skin renewal thanks to salt particles; La Sultane de Saba Scrub with proteins and silk, which leaves a long-lasting, incredible fragrance on the skin, eliminating the need for perfume; and the gentle La Biosthetique Le Peeling Spa Bamboo Scrub, perfect for sensitive skin, aiding in faster skin healing.

Skincare

And how can I forget about my favorite body care products like creams, oils, and emulsions? There's nothing better than applying your favorite product to your body, face, and hair and watching them improve your condition. I love products from La Sultane de Saba and Elemis—they're worth talking about. La Sultane de Saba's beautiful jars add aesthetic pleasure. I can confidently recommend the following products: La Sultane De Saba Rassoul Rose & Geranium Purifying Clay, which tones the skin and helps reduce inflammation; La Sultane De Saba Shea Butter Orange Blossom, perfect for restoration and protection, also useful against stretch marks; and La Sultane De Saba Black Soap with Eucalyptus Oil, which moisturizes, softens, and provides elasticity. What I love most about this brand is the versatility of its products, as they can be used on the face, body, and hair. From the Elemis brand, I recommend: Elemis Sea Lavender and Samphire Bath & Shower Milk, packed with microelements that seem to address all issues at once—protection, hydration, and energy boost; and Elemis Frangipani Monoi Body Oil, perfect for dry skin, as its components target dehydrated skin. Try something from my list, and you'll fall in love with the self-care process.

Fresh Air

Lastly, an essential part of my daily joy is spending time outdoors. I'm not one to stay indoors all day—I need at least a few minutes outside, no matter the weather. Fresh air is a natural remedy for headaches and fatigue. Even when I'm feeling lazy, I find the strength to go outside. My child is my helper in this regard, as we walk every day, playing soccer and jumping around together. It's like diving into childhood with her—a pure joy that instantly boosts my optimism and positive energy.

This was my list of what gives me an energy boost. Your list might consist of your own pleasures; perhaps you'll borrow something from mine or create your own—it doesn't matter. The main thing is to enjoy everything you do.
